Legacy Givers
A Gift That Outlives the Giver
Legacy Givers make sure the next veteran, the next foster youth, and the next senior still find the door open. This page honors the people who give that way — and shows what their generosity does.
What legacy gifts make possible
Every legacy gift is directed where it matters most: wraparound support for the communities at the heart of our mission.
Veterans in transition
Legacy gifts fund wraparound support for veterans moving into civilian life — job training, technology and AI training, benefits navigation, and connections to housing and healthcare.
Foster youth aging out
Young people leaving foster care get a bridge, not a cliff: mentoring, college and financial aid guidance, workforce readiness, and a community that stays with them.
Seniors & the aging community
Senior sessions, health awareness events, and connections to food, healthcare and benefits — so aging neighbors stay informed, healthy and included.
Our Legacy Givers
The funders and partners whose support keeps opportunity within reach — and the programs their gifts make possible.
MiLEAP — Michigan Department of Lifelong Education, Advancement, and Potential
State support behind our education work — out-of-school time, summer learning, family engagement and the path from school to a high-demand career.
Dollar General
Support for literacy and education — helping children, youth and adult learners build the reading and learning skills that open every other door.
Neighborhood Beautification Grant — City of Detroit
Funds our neighborhood beautification projects, where residents and partner organizations rebuild blocks together — like our five-organization project on Omira.
Detroit Land Bank
A partner in turning vacant land and properties back into community assets through our beautification and neighborhood work.
…and the individual givers, churches and community partners who give resources, time and more. Want to join this list? Talk to us about legacy giving.
