About Us

We close the opportunity gap by making sure you know what's yours.

Educate USA Inc is a nonprofit whose mission is to close the opportunity gap for underserved and undersourced people and communities.

Why we exist

Nobody should miss out because nobody told them.

No matter your income, zip code or story — the resources are out there. Educate USA makes sure you know about them and helps you reach them.

Who we are

Who we are

We are educators, mentors and neighbors who kept seeing the same pattern: people with real talent held back not by ability, but by access — to information, tutoring, transportation, technology, healthcare and someone in their corner.

Educate USA exists to remove those barriers. We run our own programs, host our own camps and events, and connect families to free help that is already sitting in their own neighborhood.

How we work

Awareness. Connection. Access.

Awareness

The resources already exist in your city. Most people just never hear about them. We put them in front of you — at events, in schools, on your block and online.

Connection

Knowing is not enough, so we make the introduction. We link families to free tutoring, free healthcare, food pantries, housing help, college financial aid and job training.

Access

We stay with you until you actually have it — the enrollment, the benefit, the interview, the scholarship — and we bring your neighbors along with you.

What we run

What we run

Camp Ignite — our model camp, hosted at schools, churches and community sites across Detroit. The Becoming Project mentoring. Accelerated Math. STEM to the Power of Entrepreneurship. Community gardens, citywide art events, giveaways, senior sessions and neighborhood beautification days.

Alongside our own programs, we connect people to free tutoring, free healthcare, food pantries, housing help, college financial aid, scholarships, job training and AI and technology training.

See everything we do

What we believe

Access is the mission

Everything we do points at one thing: closing the opportunity gap. If a program doesn't get someone closer to a resource, an opportunity or a paycheck, we don't run it.

Nobody is an outsider

Families, youth, seniors, veterans, the disabled community and young people aging out of foster care all belong here. The first thing you should feel is that there is something here for you.

The neighborhood leads

Programs are designed with residents, schools, churches and local organizations who already know what their block needs — not handed down from outside.

Dignity first

We don't care about income, zip code or story. Poverty should not decide who gets told about an opportunity. We treat every neighbor as a partner, never a case number.

We are a grantee.

Educate USA receives grant funds to advance this work — we do not award grants to other organizations. If you would like to fund this work, our funders and grant partners are listed on our Funders & Grant Partners page.
